Partnering for Sustainable Impact

Spring Health’s mission to provide safe, affordable drinking water to rural India is built on a foundation of strategic collaboration. Our decentralized, entrepreneur-led model is designed to scale through partnerships that combine public alignment, private sector capability, academic rigor, and community ownership. By working across government, corporate, and research ecosystems, Spring Health creates a robust operating framework that delivers measurable health, livelihood, and environmental outcomes while maintaining operational independence and accountability.

CORPORATE CLIENTS

Serving Businesses Where Infrastructure Falls Short. In addition to partnerships and CSR collaborations, Spring Health serves a growing base of corporate clients across sectors, including construction, manufacturing, logistics, retail, and services. These organisations rely on Spring Health for safe, affordable drinking water at project sites, offices, and operational locations particularly in areas where municipal systems are unreliable or absent.

CSR COLLABORATIONS

These collaborations demonstrate how CSR Partnerships in India can move beyond grants toward operational, outcome-driven engagement.

Hindustan Unilever Limited – Project Shakti

Spring Health partners with HUL under Project Shakti to leverage its village-level delivery network for distributing FMCG products through local women’s self-help groups. This model creates shared value, women retain the majority of the margin while Spring Health earns a service commission strengthening rural incomes alongside water delivery operations.

United Breweries (UB)

Spring Health implements a direct CSR initiative with United Breweries in the Khordha district of Odisha, supporting access to safe drinking water through decentralized kiosks and household delivery.

STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIPS

Auro Pure Water (Pondicherry)

Auro Pure Water is Spring Health’s core technology and R&D partner, supplying proprietary purification devices used across village kiosks. Spring Health holds the patents for these devices and bears approximately 30% of ongoing research expenses, ensuring long-term control over technology quality and cost.

Aqua for All

Aqua for All has been a foundational partner since 2015, introducing blended finance and carbon financing to the model. This partnership enabled Spring Health to scale operations while maintaining affordability and operational independence.

SUSTAINABILITY & CARBON MARKETS

Spring Health works with Believe Green and My Climate to secure Gold Standard certification for carbon emission reductions achieved by replacing household water boiling with treated drinking water. Verified carbon credits are sold in voluntary markets, with proceeds reinvested into kiosk expansion, delivery infrastructure, and clean mobility, including a transition to battery-operated vehicles. This approach links climate impact directly to long-term financial sustainability.

RESEARCH & ACADEMIC CREDIBILITY

The organisation partners with leading academic institutions, including the University of Chicago and Stanford University, to independently assess health and economic outcomes. A randomised controlled trial by University of Chicago economists validated Spring Health’s model as highly cost-effective.
